1. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary for the operation of the service: your name, email address, and profile picture from your authentication provider (Google, Microsoft, or Dropbox). We also store metadata from your recorded videos (title, description, transcription, duration, size, creation date, and sharing link), your upload history, and information about which storage providers are connected to your account.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively for: authenticating and managing your account; displaying and organizing your videos on the platform; generating shareable links; processing payments and managing your subscription; generating automatic titles and descriptions through artificial intelligence; and understanding usage patterns to improve the platform through analytics tools.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (LGPD)
In accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados — LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018), we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds: (a) consent, provided when you create your account and agree to these terms; (b) performance of a contract, as necessary to provide the services you have subscribed to; and (c) legitimate interest, for analytics, security, and service improvement purposes.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We use third-party service providers strictly necessary for the operation and improvement of the platform, including: payment processing, usage analytics tools, and AI-assisted features. These providers only access the minimum data necessary for their specific function and are contractually bound to protect your information.
5. Video Storage
Recorded videos are stored directly in your personal storage provider (Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox). Screenvod does not store the content of videos on its own servers. We only store the metadata necessary for the functionality of the platform. The OAuth permissions we request are limited to the minimum necessary scope — we only access data created by Screenvod within your storage provider.
6. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Screenvod may use third-party artificial intelligence services to automatically generate titles and descriptions from the transcriptions of your videos. The transcription content is sent to the AI service provider solely for this purpose and is not used for training models or any other purpose. No other personal data is sent to AI service providers.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies for the following purposes: (a) essential cookies for authentication and session management; (b) functional cookies to track video views and ratings; (c) security cookies for access control of private videos. We also use analytics tools to understand how the service is used, collecting data such as pages visited, features used, and usage patterns in an aggregated manner, without identifying individual users for marketing purposes.
8. Payment Processing
Payments and subscriptions are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. The payment processor receives only the data necessary to complete the transaction and manage your subscription.
9. Security
We implement security measures to protect your data, including: encryption of all communication between your browser and our servers (HTTPS/TLS); RSA encryption for private videos, which are only accessible to authorized users through cryptographic cookies; OAuth 2.0 authentication without storing your provider password; and secure development practices. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot provide absolute guarantees.
10. Data Retention
Your personal data is retained for as long as your account is active and you use the service. When you delete your account, all your personal data, video metadata, and upload history are permanently removed from our servers. You may also choose to delete the video files from your cloud storage provider during account deletion. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form and cannot be used to identify individual users.
11. Your Rights (LGPD)
In accordance with the LGPD, you have the right to: access your personal data at any time; export a copy of your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and all associated data; revoke Screenvod's access to your storage provider at any time; obtain information about which entities your data has been shared with; and revoke your consent at any time.
