Record your screen straight to your Google Drive
No middleman servers. Your videos go to your own cloud and stay there, even if you cancel.
Start for freeScreenvod is a screen recorder that saves to Google Drive — yours, not ours. Connect the Google account you already use, record your screen from the browser, and every video uploads straight to your own cloud. We generate the share link and handle streaming, but the file is yours, in your Drive account.
Most recorders keep your videos on the company's own servers. That's one more data silo outside your control: stop paying and you lose access. Saving to your Google Drive flips that — you own the files from the very first second, with no vendor lock-in.
Straight to your Google Drive
Connect your Google account and recordings upload to your own cloud automatically. No manual download, no re-upload.
No lock-in
The videos are yours, in your account. Cancel whenever you want and they stay exactly where they've always been: in your Drive.
No time limit
Record for as long as you need, even on the free plan. No cut-off at 5 minutes in the middle of your explanation.
A link in seconds
Stop recording and the link is ready to send. Public, or private with a password (on Starter).
Real privacy
Your data doesn't end up living on a third party's servers. Ideal if you need to meet GDPR or data-residency rules.
In English, Portuguese, and Spanish
The interface ships in all three languages, built for global teams that share video every day.
How it works
Install the Chrome extension and connect your Google Drive in one click. When you record, pick a tab, a window, or the full screen, with or without your mic, and hit record.
When you stop, Screenvod uploads the video straight to a folder in your Drive and hands you a ready-to-share link. Anyone who opens it watches with smooth streaming — the original file stays untouched in your account.
Why saving to your own Drive matters
You already pay for Google Drive (or get the space bundled with Google Workspace). Using that same space for your videos means one less place to manage, one less bill, and full control over who accesses what.
For freelancers sending videos to clients, for remote teams tired of yet another data silo, and for companies with privacy rules, keeping recordings in your own cloud isn't a detail — it's the difference between a tool you control and one that controls you.
A genuinely free plan to build the habit
The free plan gives you 10 uploads per month, 720p recording with no time limit, and up to 3 private videos — enough to fold async video into your daily routine. Your videos go to your Drive from the first one.
When you need more, Starter unlocks unlimited uploads, 1080p+ quality, webcam (PiP), drawing tools, view insights, and password protection, for $7/month.
